Catwoman Core: The Posing Guide for Hot Nerds

Welcome to Catwoman Core, your official posing guide to looking like you definitely know where the bodies are buried.

Whether you’re building a cosplay persona, leveling up your selfie game, or just want to move through space like a villain with a vendetta and great thighs, this guide’s for you.

This is about body language, angles, lighting, and turning confidence into a performance. Gotham’s baddest didn’t slouch through life, and neither should you.

It’s Not Standing. It’s Storytelling.

Every pose should feel like you’re mid-scene.

Are you about to purr or hiss?

Laugh at someone’s misfortune?

Steal something expensive and someone completely emotionally unavailable?

Tips:

  • Pop your hip. Let it lead.

  • Push your shoulders forward: That says confidence.

  • Arch your back slightly: That says danger (and core strength).

  • Soften your hands but keep them expressive. Point, claw, cradle, or dangle.

  • Chin down, eyes up. This is not a mugshot. It’s an invitation to regret.

Body Angles & Villain Shapes

Think tension and curve. You’re playing chess with your own silhouette.

Key poses to master:

  • The Lean: Elbows on knees, eyes up, like you’re bored and deadly.

  • The Perch: Squat or crouch to take up vertical space like a predator.

  • The Twist: Torso one direction, hips another. It creates visual drama.

Quick rule: If it feels too normal, you’re not doing enough.

Lighting Tips for That Cinematic Drama

There’s no “right” light. Just the one that tells your story.

Natural Light Pros:

  • Free, soft, and flattering

  • Easiest near windows or golden hour

Cons:

  • Changes constantly

  • You’re at the mercy of clouds and clocks

Artificial Light Pros:

  • Total control

  • Colored LEDs = instant mood

Cons:

  • Can look harsh without diffusion

  • Requires setup (but so does greatness)

Three lighting rules:

  1. Avoid straight-on shots. Rotate your body and your light.

  2. Use a timer or remote. No one looks cool mid-reach.

  3. Highlights and shadows = texture and tension.
